How to Do the Activity

  1. Cut a paper plate in half or use the bottom half as the jellyfish body.
  2. Invite children to paint the plate with ocean-inspired colors.
  3. Let the paint dry, then add wiggly eyes and a simple smile.
  4. Punch holes along the bottom edge of the plate.
  5. Help children thread or tie yarn pieces through the holes to make tentacles.
  6. Add a string at the top if you want to hang the jellyfish for display.
